About this award
Support Our Troops gives at least 75 scholarships a year, worth $500 to $5,000, to spouses and dependants of serving Canadian Armed Forces members. Applicants need proof of enrolment in a Canadian college or university program, a transcript, a reference letter, a volunteer list and a short three-part essay. The essay covers the student's connection to military life, their goals and how the award would make a difference.
Who can apply
- Spouse or dependant of a currently serving Canadian Armed Forces member
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or vocational program at an accredited Canadian college or university
- Currently serving CAF members and reservists are not eligible
- Not eligible if the applicant or a parent, guardian or spouse works for or within Support Our Troops or one of its programs
