About this award
A province-wide bursary of $1,000 to $3,000 for young credit union members, or children of members, with financial need and community involvement. Northern Credit Union, which has a North Bay branch, lists it on its student bursaries page. Applicants apply online with a video or short essay and two references, and the money is paid into their own credit union account.
Who can apply
- Applicant or parent belongs to an OCUF member credit union
- Age 25 or under by June 30 of the application year
- Pursuing a first college diploma, undergraduate degree or Red Seal
- Grades of 65% or higher
- Ontario resident and Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Selected mainly on financial need and community involvement
