- $3,000 to $150,000Loran Scholars: valued at about $150,000 over four years ($12,000 annual stipend, a full tuition waiver each year at a partner university, and up to $14,000 for summer programs). Up to 54 finalists receive a one-time $6,000 award and up to 70 provincial or territorial awardees receive a one-time $3,000 award. These one-time awards can be used at any accredited public university in Canada.

About this award
The Loran Award is a national scholarship for students entering university that looks at character, service and leadership as well as grades. Scholars receive a $12,000 yearly stipend, a tuition waiver at one of 25 partner universities, mentorship and summer program funding. Applicants who reach the later rounds but are not chosen can still receive one-time awards of $3,000 or $6,000.
Who can apply
- Entering university for the first time in September 2027
- Minimum cumulative average of 88% (Grade 10, 11 and 12 courses only)
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Born between January 1, 2005 and September 1, 2011
- Must study at one of Loran's 25 partner universities to hold the full award

- Transcript or marks summary as a PDF (report cards not accepted)
- 1 referee (online recommendation form)
