About this award
A $1,000 need-based bursary from Canada's heating and air conditioning industry association for students in HVACR programs, including apprentices in trades like refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic, sheet metal worker or gas fitter. Students must already be enrolled, so a Grade 12 student would apply during their first year. An instructor must complete part of the form.
Who can apply
- Currently registered in a post-secondary program with HVACR as its main focus (for example sheet metal, refrigeration and air conditioning, gas fitting), including provincial apprenticeship programs
- Must remain enrolled after the application deadline
- Must show financial need
- Must agree to HRAI being told when they successfully complete the program
- Programs that only touch on HVACR, such as power engineering, are not eligible
