About this award
Horatio Alger Canada offers need-based scholarships of up to $3,000 for students going into hands-on vocational, technical or trades training at a public or not-for-profit college or technical school. Applicants must finish high school by July 1, have household net income of $80,000 or less, and show perseverance through adversity. Students can apply near the end of Grade 12 or later, as long as they are under 35. It cannot be used for a university degree or an online program.
