About this award
Georgian College in Barrie has one online application for more than 150 donor-funded entrance awards for new students. Domestic students who apply to an eligible program by the spring cutoff are also entered into random draws for Automatic Entrance Awards worth $1,000 to $4,000. Draw prizes are limited, and the Stay Local draw is only for applicants living in Georgian's catchment area (Simcoe, Muskoka, Bruce, Dufferin and Grey).
Who can apply
- New students starting a Georgian program in Fall 2027 or Winter 2028 can apply for donor-funded entrance awards through one application
- Automatic Entrance Awards are random draws for domestic students who apply to an eligible program by May 1
- Degree draw: direct from high school applicants to eligible honours degree programs with a 75% or higher average of their six best Grade 12 U/M courses
- New Program draw: applicants to a new Georgian diploma program
- The Stay Local draw is for applicants with a permanent address in Georgian's catchment area, listed as Simcoe County, Muskoka, Bruce, Dufferin and Grey; Nipissing is not listed
