About this award

The Fondation franco-ontarienne gives a $1,000 award each year to a graduate of a French-language Ontario high school who is going on to post-secondary arts training. Eligible fields include visual and media arts, film, dance, music, creative writing and theatre. Applicants submit samples of their work and a short video about their artistic path and goals.

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Ontario
  • Graduating from a French-language secondary school in Ontario
  • Going on to post-secondary training in visual and media arts, film and television, dance, music, creative writing or theatre
  • Plans a professional career in the arts and shows commitment to an artistic discipline

  • Proof of admission or enrolment in a post-secondary arts program
  • Photo, video or digital portfolio of artistic work
  • Video presentation (maximum 2 minutes)
