About this award
Two national $2,000 bursaries for women and non-binary students headed into Canada's electricity sector, one for trades students and apprentices and one for STEM students. Applicants write a short essay about how the bursary will help them work in the electrical industry. Financial need is considered.
Who can apply
- Women or people who identify as non-binary
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Trades stream: enrolled in good standing in a technical college or trade school program, or a 1st to 5th year apprentice
- STEM stream: enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution with a clear interest in the electricity industry
- Must be attending in the school year after applying (2026 cycle: 2026-2027)
- Cannot hold another scholarship or bursary of equal or greater value; preference to those with financial need
