About this award

Scholarships from the North Bay-based Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity for full-time college and university students who are registered members of one of the 39 Anishinabek First Nations, including Nipissing First Nation and Dokis First Nation. The latest call offered ten scholarships of $2,500 each, with applicants writing about their academic achievements, community involvement and future plans. Grade 12 students become eligible once they are registered full-time college or university students.

Who can apply

  • Registered full-time student at an accredited college or university (currently enrolled, or graduating that year)
  • Registered member of one of the 39 Anishinabek First Nations, which include Nipissing First Nation and Dokis First Nation
  • Has not received an Anishinabek Student Excellence Award in the past 3 years
  • Rules for 2027 are not posted yet; the points above are from the 2026 call
